Residential FAQs
-
Every repair starts with a $165 service call. That covers the first hour of labor, our 21-point annual tune-up, and a written estimate. If the repair needs parts or more time, you'll see the price in writing before we do any work.
-
Yes, our technicians work on all brands of garage doors and openers.
-
We offer same-day service calls. Call or book online and we'll get you the earliest open time.
-
Yes. Spring replacements come with a 3-year parts warranty, and other repairs are covered for 90 days.
-
Most residential garage door installations can be completed in a single day. The exact timeline depends on the type of door, any customizations, and the condition of the existing system.
-
It's often worn rollers, dry hinges, or loose hardware. Our 21-point tune-up covers all of those, so the noise can usually be fixed on the service call.
-
Try not to. Running an off-track door can bend the panels and tracks and make the repair bigger. Call us and we'll get it back on track.
-
Yes. We offer installation, repair, maintenance, and replacement services for both residential and commercial garage door systems, helping keep businesses operating safely and efficiently.

Residential Emergency
-
A door that's stuck open, won't close, came off its track, or has a broken spring or cable. If your home isn't secure or your car is stuck inside, it's worth a call.
-
It's best not to. The spring does the heavy lifting, and without it the door is very heavy and can drop. Leave it closed if you can and call us.
-
Yes! Oregon City Garage Door handles emergency repairs for garage doors damaged by storms, vehicle impacts, and break-ins. A technician can assess the damage and recommend the appropriate repairs to help restore your door's functionality and security.
-
Yes. Calls are answered 24/7. If it's after hours, we'll get you on the schedule for the earliest open time.
-
If your garage door spring breaks, avoid operating the door or attempting to replace the spring yourself. Garage door springs are under significant tension and can cause serious injuries. Contact a professional technician to inspect the system and make the necessary repairs.
-
-
Spring
-
You'll usually hear a loud bang from the garage. After that the door may not lift, or it lifts a few inches and stops. You might also see a gap in the spring above the door.
-
If your door has two springs and one breaks, replacing both is usually the better choice, since the other one is the same age.
-
Spring replacements come with a 3-year warranty.
-
-
Tracks
-
Usually a bump from a car, a broken cable or spring, or worn rollers that slip out of the track. We'll find the cause so it doesn't happen again.
-
Sometimes. A minor bend can often be straightened and realigned. If the track is kinked or cracked, replacing that section is safer. We'll show you which one you need before we start.
-
-
Rollers
-
Listen for grinding or squeaking, and watch for a door that shakes on the way up. Rollers that look chipped or wobble in the track are worn too.
-
Nylon rollers run quieter and need less lubrication. Steel rollers are durable and cost less. We'll recommend what fits your door.
-
-
Hinges
-
Years of opening and closing wear them out, and loose bolts let a hinge flex until it cracks.
-
Not always, but don't ignore it. A failed hinge puts strain on the panels around it and can turn into a bigger repair. Book a service call and we'll replace it.
-
-
Panels
-
Often, yes. If the panel is still made for your door model, we can order a match. If it's discontinued, we'll go over your options.
-
It depends on the door's age and condition. If several panels are damaged or the door is older, a new door can make more sense. We'll give you a written estimate either way.
-
-
Safety Sensors
-
You can wipe the lenses and make sure nothing is blocking them. If the door still won't close, the wiring or the sensors may need work, and that's a service call.
-
Please don't. The sensors stop the door from closing on a person, pet or car. If they're failing, call us and we'll get them working.
-
-
Opener Repair
-
That can be a stripped gear, a broken spring, or a disconnected trolley. Our technician can tell which one on the service call.
-
It depends on the opener's age and what failed. We'll give you a written estimate for the repair, and if replacing it makes more sense, we'll tell you why and quote a LiftMaster opener too.
-
-
Openers & Installation
-
It depends on your door and your garage. Wall-mount models free up ceiling space, belt drives are the quietest, and chain drives are durable and budget friendly. We'll help you choose.
-
Many LiftMaster models work with the myQ app, so you can open, close and check on your door from your phone.
-
Our installation work is covered for one year, and your opener also has LiftMaster's manufacturer warranty.
-
Yes. Our technicians work on all brands of garage doors, and we test the new opener with your door before we leave.
-
Not necessarily. Book a $165 service call and we'll find out why it stopped. If replacing it makes more sense, we'll tell you why and quote a LiftMaster opener.
